Sadness & hope

We had my dad's funeral on Saturday. He passed away suddenly at age 88. A son could have no better role model in his life. He was so positive when we talked about my PC battle. He will be missed by everyone he knew. Today I finished my Provenge treatments and while 88 seems like a dream I hope it will extend my life so I can continue to be that role model for my children.

Sounds like genetics is on your side to make it to 88. Let the Provenge do its job and soon there will be even more miracle drugs to treat our PCa.

I too would be very pleased with 88, a long full life but not so long that the last few years are filled with constant pain and suffering.

May your father be a role model for you physically, emotionally and spiritually as you strive to live up the the high standards he set for himself and by extension for you.

One of the best things a person can have in life is good, loving parents who are great role models. You may consider yourself fortunate that you had that in your dad.
