Biopsy on Early 30s

Hi to everybody I´m glad to find this kind of support in the web

I´m very worried. I´m 31 Years old and one month ago i was on a regular check up and when the result came my PSA level was 5.4.    2 years back  the PSA level was in 5.8 so at that time my doctor consider that was a some urine infection. 

But now I visit the specialist and he  didn't feel any enlargement in the prostate or any nodule in the DRE , he order  2 week of antiobiotics and after that an Ultrasonic scan, what they found it really scare me,  they report a  nodule of 1.1mm 

So now after 1 month to the first visit to the specialist  my PSA level was increased to 7.98 and tommorrow i will  be on biopsy.

Is regular to find people in early  30 years with elevated psa or can be a aggresive Cancer

I know the kinds of fears racing through your mind, and I'm sorry you are going through that. Prostate cancer is almost unheard of in a man your age. Not impossible, but highly unlikely.

You said that your doctor found a 1.1 mm nodule on the ultrasound scan. Even the best ultrasounds can't detect anything that small. Did you mean 1.1 cm? Benign cysts and calcifications are common.

It sounds like your doctors tried to eliminate prostatitis and BPH as sources for your elevated PSA. There is a blood test available only in Europe called PHI that may help identify the source.

As for the biopsy, you might want to ask for a "periprostatic nerve block" to prevent any pain. Some men have only mild discomfort from the biopsy. I had a lot of pain. We're all different. Expect blood in the urine for up to a week afterwards, and blood in the semen for a few weeks.

You might also ask them to take an extra core with a double-needle to look for any pathogens that might be causing an antibiotic-resistant infection.

Most guys like to complain about how long it takes to get the results back after the biopsy. We'll be here if you want to vent. But if you decide to skip that step, do be sure to come back and tell us about your biopsy results when you have them.

In the meanwhile we'll worry about you. You are our youngest prospective member that I can recall. I have shoes older than you are. Hopefully (probably) we will be able to run you off for another twenty-five years or so.

Yesterday it was the Biopsy, I followed  your advise Allen thanks alot,  until now i dont feel any pain even yesteday i dont  . The blood on the urine is gone until know so i think we are going in the right way.

In 4 to 5 Day i will receive the result of the biopsy, let wait the best if this is not the case I will  face it with a positive face.

Get a copy of the pathology report asap, find out whom did your pathology and are they a true expert, or just average (your uro doc will say he is an expert in any event, everyone is supposedly an expert-LOL).

That fPsa number is not a happy percentage number to have, as you already likely know. If you have PCa found, tell the doc to analyze nomograms and Partin tables so you realize what the odds are up front before diving into anything. All knowledge is a plus for a patient, do not assume everyone is an expert in PCa, is my no fee advice.
