I don't even remember when Samadi gave me my DRE. I just remember thinking "again?". My other two urologists also took their turns. Imagine those guys who get multiple opinions.

Anyway, video was good, educational for general public. I'd say it would have been only better if Richie Incognito replaced Lauer or Rooker.

Speaking of Rooker, what condition do he and Al Sharpton share? both have shrunken bodies after the severe weight loss but swollen heads. They both look photoshopped on tv.

DRE's
LOL--Preparatory to my biopsy in Madison a group of student nurses came in and the Dr asked if it would be OK for the nurses to feel my rock hard prostate. Since I thought it was humorous 4 nurses were better educated; probably gave them something to talk about to their dates that night..Oh well, in the name of science.

I am just wondering how many years or decades will pass until there is something educational like this on my country´s national tv. I really respect this kind of openness in the US. When you get a disease here, you sort of keep it within a family, perhaps talk a bit to your male friends who you meet on the street with no specifics because you really don´t understand your disease and that´s it. And then you live, and then you die. Hats off to Matt Lauer and Al Roker.

I liked Dr. Samadi's line as he held up two fingers and said he was going to get a "second opinion". That was a good information spot. DRE, although nothing I'd do for fun, isn't a big deal.

I still am amazed that he performed the test in 34 seconds.  Did he use a glove? (I hope so!).  It would take a bit of time to "glove up," and also a bit of time to drop trou.  He must be a speed reader.

I guess they were trying to show men that there's not much to a DRE, that it's over quickly.  But if a guy has to submit to it, you want it done correctly and thoroughly so that nothing is missed.
