Hello
I've lurked a little and have read some good information
I'm stage t1c, 2 of 12 cores positive but have a PSA of 14.6. Gleason 3+3.
I've seen three doctors and they all recommend surgery.
I'm in good hands and trust my doctor.

Soon all the anxious "i wonder what that will be like?" questions will be answered and you'll be home focusing on your recovery. Be a good boy and do what they tell you to get back to normal, start putting all this worry in your rear view mirror and focus how bright your future is! I'm saying a prayer right now. We look forward to hearing from you!

Patrick,
You really will feel better if you get up and walk. The nurses aren't just being sadists. Welcome to the other side -- hope you like it here.
Keep us in the loop.

Finally home, stayed two nights in the hospital.
I heard that it looks like cancers was contained, the bladder neck looked good and the doctor aggressively spared the nerves bilaterally.
Seminal vesicles were also removed.
A little sore and plenty tired, wife is being a trooper
I get the cath pulled on Monday

So one thing that was a little scary was bleeding out the end of my penis. It started after doing some laps in the hospital. Anyone else experience this while catheter was in.

Welcome to the "other side", Patrick
No experience of that bleeding issues but in the urine ...Yes, after walking 30 to 40mins on the 1st few days. It cleared up after drinking a few glasses of water. But after a few occasions, this problem disappeared. It took sometimes to heal.
Anyway, it's good to hear that you are fine.
Keep going.....

bleeding is routine At the tip.. As you walk more and more you will see darker and darker blood, with nasty little minions traveling thru the cath tube. Also normal.
stay hydrated, beware the catheter tug at all times. Another beginning. CONGRATS
