Hello all,

Been lurking for a few months, just joined today.

I had an elevated PSA level a couple of years ago after an infection, then saw the level come down to somewhat normal gradually. But my prostate was enlarged so my urologist had me coming back every few months. The level started going up again, he felt something a little unusual through DRE, did a biopsy and found one spot with cancer and another couple questionable. Gleason score was 7 (3+4). My urologist is also a surgeon experienced in doing RRPs, and so I had him do my RRP a couple of weeks after diagnosis.

Lab analysis of the removed prostate showed Gleason score of 6 (3+3).

My pre-surgery PSA level was 3.4. First post surgery test was .0-something, second .03, third .01.

I had relatively minor urinary incontinence for about 4 months.

Still have ED. Pump works, Cialis or Viagra has almost no affect.

Welcome to the forum. Sounds like you are doing well. Sometimes it takes a while for erectile function to return after prostatectomy. Somewhere between one and two years is typical although we've had members who continued to improve after that.
