Hey folks. Writing from O'ahu.
I arrived yesterday after a long flight, one that was made particularly long because Ruthie did not make it with me. It was 17 years ago we got married and boarded a plane the next day to Hawaii ~ Maui ~ and stayed for 9 days and enjoyed these beautiful islands. But this trip is business, yes I have a day job, and I leave Monday. For some reason that flight to the islands 17 years ago seemed short and quick. Maybe it was because I was with my best friend ~ who happened to be my new bride. Yesterday took a long time and it was seemingly made longer by boredom ~ something that was not an issue the last time.
Well I intended to work the whole time this trip and have a Sunday to visit around but I received an added treat by having my business partners work all day with me today to try to free up more time and...we knocked out 90% of it with hard work. So it is that I will work tonight and tomorrow morning through Email and online and free up the weekend to tour the islands. Not even sure what to do with the extra time, but I'll figure something out. Count on it. Then Monday is that all day trip home but if I do this right, it will be an all day nap.
For that reason, I won't be getting much done PCa-wise but that's ok. I missed a meeting today on translational medicine approaches but they understood. They would have told me I was nuts being in that call anyway.
So as it is, and as they say out here ~ Mahalo!
And Aloha!
