Hi,
Did you say that you must give yourself an enema for this test? Talk to your doctor about it. I recently underwent a colonoscopy at Mayo Clinic. They gave me the most horrible tasting crap to drink the evening before -- and then a repeat at about 3 a.m.
Although this stuff tasted like pantherp!$$, it did NOT require an enema because it cleans you out so thoroughly. At Mayo (for colonoscopies) they prescribe either MoviPrep or Golytely. Both do the same thing but in slightly different ways. The "end" result is the same in that you have to drink the stuff.
But if either of these products (they ARE expensive!) would be appropriate for you -- and spare you the enema -- it might be worth the cost. As I recall, the MoviPrep cost me around $74. That's the one that they chose for me to take.
Hope this helps!!
