Metastatic prostate cancer deaths unchanged over past 25 years...

The Urology Times Article said...
“These data suggest that we should continue to evaluate the benefits of PSA screening before making sweeping policy recommendations against its use,” said Dr. Dall’Era.

This study was for guys up to the year 2009...only since 2009 have we've seen countless new drugs approved by the FDA....many of which have a survival benefit....

More importantly: " The research corroborates previous studies that had shown a 65% reduction in those initially diagnosed with metastatic cancer since the PSA test’s introduction. This reduction resulted from men being diagnosed at earlier stages after PSA screening."

65% reduction....think that is one strong point to continue psa testing...

Everyone needs a break...we'll hold the fort down until you return with reinforcements....

Btw---I meet with my State rep next week...not US Senator...but we'll see where this takes me....
