Zytiga

After Lupron and Casodex started to fail, my Onco started me on Zytiga on 10/30/13. My PSA today was undetectable and I have had very few side effects from Zytiga however my ALT was 87 (normal is 7-55) so Onco going to test ALT/AST every month and if the ALT continues increasing, he said he may reduce my daily dose of Zytiga. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Sure hate to terminate Zytiga because I responded very well to the drug. The Old Sailor

Is this the only liver enzyme that is a little high?

This number fluctuates and I'm not convinced for a one time reading that it is very high...keep an eye on it...

When I was on HT, my ALT would sometimes be elevated as well, but it changed month to month.

Drink lots of water the day before and don't exercise the day before...sounds crazy, but I found that by lifting weights, etc... the day before...it can elevate your ALT...

Good to talk to you...hang in there...It's frustrating when these blood markers aren't consistent...but it is common all the time... for comparison, my wife's ALT is elevated to about what yours is...but she's fine...they just don't want it to increase exponentially.

Great to hear your PSA is staying under control...that's huge and that is great...
