Confused re reposting and google+

as far as I know - my username here on healingwell is unique - I've never used it elsewhere.

I went to a completely different site - and created a new account there, under a different user name (not sfigato), and made a posting.
to my suprise, when I checked my google+ account a while later - that posting from the other site was listed - and using the my full name.

there's something tying blogger accounts to google+ whether you want that or not.

so the questions I have is
1. is my healingwell account tied to blogger or google+ ?
2. does the user have any control over what is cross posted ?

I have yet to see my healingwell posts hit Google+ , so maybe I just am confused and created a blogger id with the same name as my healingwell id.

I like to keep my blog/forum posts somewhat separate from google+/facebook
should I just stop posting altogether ?

I'm in technology and the whole tracking and consolidation of user information is somewhat scary
