Hubby went in for his 1 year post brachy PSA. PSA dropped to 0.2. So far he feels great. No side effects and PSA has continued downward. Needless to say, he is very pleased with his choice of treatment.
He had an interesting conversation with his URO at his appointment. URO said he just learned how to do Robotic surgery and he was very impressed. DH asked him would he have recommended that to him knowing what he knows now. He said no, he still would have recommended seeds because his biopsy was only positive on one side. If it was positive on both sides he would have recommended surgery.
Although he actually recommended AS or seeds if he wanted to move forward with treatment.

Mickey, congrats on these wonderful results. Uro's comment, "If it was positive on both sides he would have recommended surgery" makes no sense to me. But, then again, it doesn't really matter now because all is well in your world!
Best,
Jim

Great news 0.2 is just where you want it.
I don't understand the doctor's comment about
if it were both sides he would have not recommended seeds. Both surgery and seeding treat the entire gland. The only difference in treatment area is that seeds treat more of the prostate bed.

It slays me when the surgeon tells the patient: "with BT you won't know for along time if it worked or not"

Great numbers!!
These were the numbers I was hoping for the past 2 years. You are very fortunate.
