The downward number, may be the start of a trend, or a one time shot, but down is down, regardless of the reason, and I will take it for that at face value.

Oncologist said he's really been devoting a lot of personal research to the latest dietary thinking. Interesting, because news of these changes are starting to hit the mainstream news.

Finding out that meat is not the great enemy, nor just "fatty" foods by themselves. Sugar seems to be the bigger enemy and the single largest cause of obesity in the US. Living here in the south, amazed by how much sugary sodas and over sweetened ice tea that people drink. Especially Mountain Dew.

Even some of the former views about the alleged goodness of a "low fat" diet is turning 180 degrees by some dietary experts. Its some of the things that people switch to, actually make things worse, i.e. artificial sugars, can create in the brain, a desire for even more real sugar, plus all the other harm being found in the use of artificial sugars.

So much comes back to the simplest of terms. Less, is best. He said the sheer quantity of food the average American eats can often exceed 2-3 times what the body really needs. A little self control and moderation could help a lot.

For whatever reason my brain has clicked off "hunger" and appetite, for right now, its done a great job of getting rid of all my extra baggage. And mentally I haven't suffered a bit. I feel no distress about not eating hardly at all, no hunger pains, simply never feel or sense being hungry.

Mika, G-Ville still doing fine, really getting back like it was during boom times. Lots of building going on, lots of hiring. Downtown and the West End doing great. All in all, not a bad place to live near. Though so much new has been built in Easley where I live, I find we don't have to go to Gville as often. Mostly doctor stuff that keeps me on the run there.
