F8's recent post of spectacular shots inspired me to post some of my recent shots - mostly nature & wildlife.

Great shots Jerry. I would likely need to upgrade my Nikon Coolpix to get those kind of pictures.

Wow! Most of those look like National Geographic quality. Outstanding. Much of that artistic side of photography is lost for those of us using simple point-and-shoot cameras.
Color depth, tone depth, composition, depth-of-field control, lighting, all just wonderful. Thanks for sharing those, it's great to capture some of the incredible beauty of the world surrounding us.
You've made my morning.

fantastic. You must have some lens. Where you hiding out to get that close tot he fox? Looks like the wildlife you see at the Great Swamp in NJ.

@Davidg,
Most of the birds were shot with a 500mm F/4 + 1.4 teleconverter. Actually, the foxes usually require a much shorter lens - 70-200mm F/2.8. I do most of my shooting at Bombay Hook NWR in Delaware. As long as I stay in my car and don't do anything to startle them, the foxes will often come to me - sometimes within 10-15 ft. (no, I don't bait them).
I have friends that shoot at Great Swamp and get some amazing shots. Even though it's only a couple hours up the road, I've never been there - on the bucket list!

Great Swamp is cool and ther eis an incredible and authentic Mexican restaurant nearby called Casa Maya. It's 2 min away.
The swamp has a board walk going through it for perhaps 1 mile, it's low to the level of the water and really gives you a sense of being in it. When you get to the end, you reach a structure with
openings that allows you to look for birds.
I used to bring the kids and would rarely run into more than 6-10 people. I stopped going because of all the snakes in the water.
