PAP vs PSA

Hey all, one year follow up this Friday.

My PSA is still .1, one year later.

The PAP, or prostatic acid phosphatate has gone from 1.1 last August, to 1.2 in Feb of this year to 1.4 this month.

Any significance to the rise in PAP, similar to a PSA increase. I will find out Friday from the RO.

I can't remember what the normal readings for PAP are. Dattoli conducted a study a few years back that showed that high PAP was the most significant predictor of treatment failure, trumping both psa and Gleason score. The study can be found in his book "Brachytherapy and IMRT" by Dr Michael Dattoli.
