John: Just a few more things that you could do to help. I was 58 at the time of my surgery. I bought a $100 simple VED pump on Amazon and used it 2 times a day. I took about
5 mg of generic Cialis each day. I agree 100% with "bigal" in the sense that right after surger I was getting 50% erections just looking at my wife undress but then they would immediately start to reverse as I got more excited. it was as though things were working in reverse. Then at 3 weeks post surgery; everything just stopped and no erections happened except while I was in deep REM sleep. So yes, it seemed in my case that the nerves were just too raw as a result of the trauma and they simply went into a "healing sleep". Nocturnal erections are a great sign and that also shows that the "plumbing is working" and I was very happy when they happened. Something that worked for me was to wear loose boxer shorts or nothing while I slept. That would guarantee several nightime erections for me. I rarely got them while wearing tight briefs. Don't worry if they disappear when you awake or you can't use them for intercourse. Nocturnal erections keep blood flowing and your penis stays in good shape.
At about 9 months, I used BiMix injections, once a week for good erections. The erections were very firm but cold. I did this for about 6 months and then the BiMix injections stopped working and natural erections started taking over. Again, at 9 months, I would have bet anything that I would never have natural erections again. I was even thinking about an implant. But, everything is good for me now and for what it is worth, in about 6 months YOU will start to posting (on this forum) good news on your resolution of ED. And finally, relax. And this is important. The fact is the more you stress, the more difficult erections become. You will be just fine.
