I have been a lurker here since my diagnosis early in 2014. I will likely continue to be a reader and seldom a writer, but just want to say thank you to the regulars on this forum. I have become a bit obsessed with learning as much as possible about this beast as I expect it will influence my life at least intermittently for the rest of my life. I know many life-changing decisions will arise over the next number of years. As others have said, I don't like to be surprised by new developments but prefer to be over-prepared. I have 60 years of not thinking about prostate cancer, and only one being obsessed, so if you average out the time I have spent in 2014, it is really very balanced! Anyway, just to acknowledge how helpful this site has been and continues to be. Thank you to all contributors. I am so sorry for those who are suffering and so grateful for those with years of experience and willingness to share. It is very helpful to be able to listen in to discussions of treatment options, and to hear the commonality of certain symptoms and side effects.

The forum welcome mat is always there for any who want to walk in over it, just sorry you need to do so. But we are indeed happy to greet and assist you.

A point I wanted to make is that the Search function here on the forum is a really excellent way to do searches to retrieve information from past discussions (years' worth) on almost everything that is PCa related.

Just go to the top of the screen, just above the title line, and click on Search. The resulting searching function offers a wealth of information, if you were not already aware of it.

Again, welcome, and do feel free to ask us any questions or to make posts yourself.

It is good to hear from you. It sounds like your treatments have been very effective for you already. I'm so pleased to hear that, and your numbers sound very encouraging already.

Just wanted to welcome you as an active contributor and reader. This forum provides such a tremendous network of support, doesn't it? I think it also helps people before and after doctor visits --- and provides them with additional support while waiting in between those doctor visits and while waiting for test results and scans. It's an incredible way to connect on weekends, during holidays, and even in the middle of those sleepless nights when readers have nagging questions or need some encouragement or support.

Glad you decided to speak up. You don't need to be a great writer to participate - short posts are welcome.
