Andy, Allen told you about a Radiologist. That would be the recommended primary treatment for a PT3a. Your Cancer is local but has likely escaped the capsule. I'll be blunt. Surgery is not necessarily a good idea if you want a chance at a cure on your primary treatment. You are probably a candidate for positve margins if you jump into surgery and then you'll have to do salvage radiation or some other secondary treatment. I strongly recommend you don't make a decision based only a discussion with a surgeon, talk to an RO also.

This ain't borderline. Remember, the OP was dx. with PC BEFORE he even had a biopsy.

I'm thinking he should get a second opinion on the biopsy (after he finally gets the first opinion/results).

This doctor is WAY too anxious to operate.
