Symptons of spinal chord compression

I hate to be so hypersensitive about my body but with this disease every time something new pops up I start asking myself a million questions and try to analyze that "What is it now" syndrome that I seem to be experiencing.

So, within the past week or so I have been experiencing this sensation along the inner portion of my right thigh near my knee. I can't really describe it as pain but there is definitely a strange sensation that I will attempt to describe. Infrequently but on more recurring occasions I get what feels like a cold tingling sensation along the area that I have described. I have also been diagnosed with prediabetes so I also wonder if it could be diabetic nerve pain.

So my question to the group would be if you have experienced spinal chord compression, can you recall what your symptoms were and are you willing to share what those symptoms are?

I just went to a neurologist last week.

My right outer thigh feels numb from time to time and has done this for years. My left thigh started feeling like it was on fire depending on how I was standing or sitting.

There are tons of nerves that run through your hip... In my case, the extra 12 lbs of winter fat I put on (belly fat) was causing more pressure on these nerves.

It took me five weeks before the Neuro could see me and I had lost the bulk of the extra weight... So for me - lose more weight and do sit ups etc...

Another possible cause in my case and probably yours is a bulging disc in your mid back.

I know, but don't dismiss it just because you think you're being hypersensitive. Let a doctor help you sort out what symptoms are real problems and which aren't.
