Ok, for you guys who have been where I am.....

The last few days, I'm getting random twinges at one of my small incisions...not really painful, but a very obvious sensation that says, "I'm HERE". That one I can probably put down to a combination of nerve healing and muscle movement.

Also, some of the time I have penis discomfort during and just after urination. Again, not really painful (maybe a 1 or 1.5 on the 10 scale). No weird discharges or anything. Something I'm going to mention to the URO on the 15th.

Other than that...things are going great. Pad free for 2 weeks now (except when I'm wearing dark khakis), and the old soldier is standing up when called upon. Oh, I'm absolutely of the group that has found that things are more intense and last longer than they used to. I'm reminded of this scene from "The Green Mile", when Paul Edgecomb (the Tom Hanks character) brings corn bread to John Coffey:

John Coffey: Was the missus pleased?
Paul Edgecomb: (whispering) Several times, John. *wink

I had a lot of on and off itching for a while, about 8-10 weeks post RALP, at the site of the scars. Lasted about two weeks.

And now I'm feeling a strange sensation when I contract my muscles, like doing a Kegels. Sort of feels,like pee is accumulating in my pecker, or just feels like "something's there", hard to describe. It's making me nervous

normal will shift a lot over the first few months. While you're noticing this now, soon you won't.

The twitching is the healing process, as is the penile pain. I had penile pain for 9 m0s post op. " The interior pain of the operation has to go somewhere" Bruce Dalkin urological oncologist.U of Dub medical center, head of the urology dept…Bon Vivant…man about town.

For a number of months following surgery I could swear there was something crawling on my skin, close or on the incision... Sometimes it almost felt like a light electrical current... I chalked it up to nerves regenerating and healing.
FYI... I was told that because we don't ejaculate anymore to clear the urethra we are more prone to pick up bacteria from our partner. This can sometime lead to a UTI. And we don't have the urgency to pee following sex as much as we used to which also clears the tube...
