Steve,

It just occurred to me that another choice for you would be Dr. Menon in Detroit. He's one of the top robotic surgeons in the country and lots of people go there for a few days to have their surgery. He has a lot of fans among his patients and I've heard some great things about him.

Hello ~ My signature will provide details about my husband, Ron. He went to an urologist out of Beaumont Hospital (Royal Oak, MI) and he suggested going to the Cleveland Clinic. He has had successful Prostate Surgery 5 years ago at Beaumont. Yes, on August 18th it will be 5 years Cancer free!!

However, he is having severe groin pain and his doctor suggested going to CC for a check up. He mentioned Dr. Stephenson; however I have heard a few negative things about him. Is there another urologist any of you would recommend? I thought of starting a separate thread, but maybe we can get some answers here? Thanks so much!

@Steve in Cleve, nothing to add, you've gotten good advice on the right questions, just want to add my welcome to the forum and the reluctant brotherhood.
Sounds like you are going about the decision process the right way, good luck and glad to see you taking ownership. It will give you a feeling of taking back control of your life.
