pt3a no mo

T stands for tumor. If there is no p in front of it it means the doc felt it or it was found by an exam.
p means pathologic. The results came from the pathology report after your surgery.

Here's a summary I grabbed from daVinci Surgery dot com:

T1 - Your doctor can't feel the tumor or see it with imaging such as transrectal ultrasound.

T1a - The cancer is found incidentally during a transurethral resection (often abbreviated as TURP) for benign prostatic enlargement. Cancer is present in less than 5% of the tissue removed.

T1b - The cancer is found after TURP but is present in more than 5% of the tissue removed.

T1c - The cancer is found by needle biopsy that was done because of an elevated PSA.

T2 - Your doctor can feel the cancer when a digital rectal exam (DRE) is done, but it still appears to be confined to the prostate gland.

T2a - The cancer is in one half or less of only one side (left or right) of your prostate.

T2b - The cancer is in more than half of only one side (left or right) of your prostate.

T2c - The cancer is in both sides of your prostate.

T3 - The cancer has begun to spread outside your prostate and may involve the seminal vesicles.

T3a - The cancer extends outside the prostate but not to the seminal vesicles.T3b: The cancer has spread to the seminal vesicles.

T4 - The cancer has spread to tissues next to your prostate (other than the seminal vesicles), such as your bladder's sphincter (muscles that help control urination), your rectum, and/or the wall of your pelvis.

I can also tell you about the N and M if you like...

N stands for "nodes" and says if the cancer spread to lymph nodes nearby. "0" after it means "None" Great!!!
M stands for "metastasis, and tells if the cancer has spread out of the prostate area into other organs. "0" means "None" Great!!!

An "x" after an N or M means they could not tell.
You and I are the same except for the mets. I'm pT3aN0Mx. They could not tell if I had mets or not. Oh well...

You don't have to worry about spelling or typing well. As long as we understand you, it is enough.

Please try again to enter your stats in your signature. That makes it easier for people to give you good advice.
Unfortunately, we are limited to only 400 characters. You can use my signature as a guide to write your own. Yours does not have to be that long. Usually you put: your age, when you were diagnosed , your PSA, and any treatments you had. Then your follow up PSA and any problems. (ED, Incontinence.) You can always change it .

Scroll your mouse to the top of this question.
Just above the title of the question "pt2a no mo" you will see a blue bar.
On the left side it says: Log Off | My Profile ..... Home ....

Click the My Profile box.
You will get a new menu with choices:
My Profile Home | Change Password | Edit Profile | and other stuff.
Click on Edit Profile
You will see all your information. Feel free to change anything there. Go to the bottom and you will see "Signature" .
Write some info in there.
Then click the "Submit" button on the bottom.

Practice first. Just make a short Signature that says "Hello" or something. Then make a post here. If it works you can go back and make a nice signature for real.

You'll figure it out. I promise!

That is strange. Did you click "Submit" after you entered your info?
Are you signed in? Go down to the bottom of this page and look at the bottom section called "Who's Online". Do you see your screen name there?
