I've had urinary issues for decades. It seems to me that most URO's are about as informing with their patients of the possible problems with TURP as they are of informing them of potential issues with RP.
I don't take flowmax, I have side effect of full ED from flowma. 25 ml of Cialis daily helps the most of pharmaceuticals, along with 3 saw palmetto morning and evening.
Walking, jogging, biking also helps. If I really have problems prostate massage works well.
FWIW, my internist told me that before surgery came along that prostate massage was the solution. Works for me, you can buy gloves anywhere.
I would say no turp until it is so bad that you have to go to the emergency room to be catheterized as a neighbor of mine did. Whether you have had radiation therapy or not.
