Have you heard about
drugs targeting cancer metabolism, instead of targeting a specific mutation? These drugs are part of the newest development, and kills cancer cells regardless of their mutations. Cancer cells get their energy by turning on energy production pipelines that normal cells don't use (google Warburg effect if you want to know more about
it). There are drugs targeting those pipelines, killing only cancer cells while sparing healthy cells. There's a clinical study recruiting patients. I thought you might want to check it out.
