age 63 DX 10/14 PSA 43 Stage IV T3a N1 M1 with lymph node bone met T-11 Gleeson 4-3 4-4 by urologist recommended no surgery to far along . 11/14 Rad oncologist recommended no radiation until in pain. 12/14 Chemo oncologist suggested demostad give me maybe 10 years plus 18 more months declined. Decided Lupron depot every six months 12/14. side effect of ADT wow The worst depression. Downer for a year took sertiline it helped. 11/15 Second opinion Drove 950 miles by self in 17 hour to MD Anderson Houston. Completed all test but biopsy They recommended IMRT 45 treatments for local control. Drove 120 mile each day to local oncologist for 10 weeks for treatment. Continued to work each day for 6 hours Completed treatment 3/7/16 will receive 4th lupron this June. was told I would be on Lupron or other for life. Go enjoy it while you can. Will take a month of to be with daughter in law for birth of 2nd grand daughter in april while son is out to sea. My 3rd grand daughter will be born in July from local daughter in law. will retire 12/16 at 65. 28 years in prison got you a sergeant and teacher. I will use all my time.
