Two weeks ago, I went to NYC for the day, to have a CT scan to look for liposarcoma. I had surgery for liposarcoma last September, it recurred by November (no clean margins in first surgery), I had four rounds of inpatient chemo through the winter, and then surgery at Sloan Kettering in early March. The scan was completely clean.
I will be having my chemo port removed this week.
This morning, I saw my urologist. I'm currently 2.5 years post-RALP and I'm on testosterone. My PSA was undetectable and I go back for a PSA and testosterone test in January.
My next liposarcoma scan is in November. For right now, I have 4 months with no tests at all.
I am dealing with chronic pain from three abdominal surgeries, 2 of them very significant. But, I'm doing PT and working with a massage therapist who specializes in helping with scar tissue. The goal is to not take pain meds on a permanent basis.

Hello DLMVT,
Wow ! Time to start a SUMMER CELEBRATION, based on your great news !
I know you've been in the middle of the boxing ring, slugging it out against multiple opponents ... think you've given your opponents some KNOCKOUT PUNCHES !
You've got some victories to celebrate now, my brother ... I realize there are still some challenges to face, but I can detect your DETERMINATION and WINNING SPIRIT in every word of your post.
Thankful to hear your update --- thankful that your doctors have found effective treatments for you --- thankful that you're forging ahead and facing forward.
Time to C-E-L-E-B-R-A-T-E !
Sent with my best, from here in the Midwest,
