The work was actually done at Johns Hopkins. I guess Schweitzer since moved to UW. Your doctor seems to be following the Johns Hopkins original protocol, although the researchers questioned whether the etoposide was much benefit - it added considerably to the toxicity. In their follow-up trials, they don't use it.
