Something a little out of the ordinary that I found while webwandering.
W4CS is a web-based radio station devoted to discussing cancer themes on a 24/7 basis. It describes its mission as
"A whole body approach for everyone from doctors to patients, survivors, caregivers, and their families. Nothing to click or download. Just turn up your speakers and listen!"
Listening to it simply requires going to its site:
www.w4cs.com and, assuming you have Adobe Acrobat or the equivalent, just click on the site link to listen to the radio program currently in progress, or click the "Broadcast Schedule" link to see what else is scheduled for the day.
Unfortunately, the programming I saw looked pretty cancer-generic (nothing about
PCa), and there doesn't seem to be a searchable Archives that might list past PCa-themed shows.
So maybe it's not all that specifically useful for a lot of us.
But I just present it as something interesting, an example of the sometimes ingenious creativity that exists out there when it comes to making cancer information resources available on the web.
(Of course I am getting nothing (certainly nothing financial) out of bringing attention to this station, doing it just to mention something a little out of the ordinary).
