Although I am only at the very start of the second phase of this dark journey, with lots of hopes and possibilities, it is very very powerful to see that light in the distance. -Thank you! -Ken

Congratulations, Todd! And thanks for continuing to update us here on the forum. Your good results inspire many.

And I totally get it about the PSA day. It usually feels like I'm heading to a thermodynamics final exam. The butterflies take flight about as soon as I get up that day. Blessedly, the clinic has an express system for the results, so when I see my doctor about an hour+ after the blood draw, they'll already have the PSA result. Weirdly, I usually have to ask. Shouldn't the doctors know we're about to have a heart attack waiting for that number?!

My results are posted online 5-1/2 hours later. It's not too bad. What I hate the most is when you have to call for the results and the nurse says the doctor will have to call you back. when that happens you know the results are bad but you don't know how bad until the doctor actually called you back six hours later

And. . . when he finally calls, you can't take the call. Happened to me, too.

Todd, if you will allow me to be serious for just a second. . . you are truly an inspiration to so many of us, whether we have advanced disease or a more favorable variety. You just keep on getting things done, searching for your path, then just following it to your future. I can't imagine it being easy, but you make it seem so. May you have many, many more happy zero's in your future.

Todd, You are the guiding light and role model for everyone with this disease. You are proof that it can be managed, and life can continue, even in the face of the astronomical test results you were handed.

Please, please, continue to keep us updated, and post here and everywhere where your story will be read and admired.

Todd,
You exude hope ,you encourage hope, you show it everyday in your life, and in your blogs, and in your post always encouraging others.You are a true representative of a definition of HOPE(FROM WIKIPEDIA):
"Hope is an optimistic attitude of mind that is based on an expectation of positive outcomes related to events and circumstances in one's life or the world at large."

You are what remained, as a "saving grace", as the only thing left inside,to hold onto when the mythological Greek Pandora's box opened- HOPE! -and you don't have to believe in myths to believe that!,(because as you know we have another saving grace.)

So don't stress or have any anxiety on PSA days, be like me ,for the past two years and the last 10 PSA results; when the Doctor calls or comes into the room, just tell him that you already know the results, and your PSA is just fine!

That is great Todd. I was telling my oldest daughter about your journey tonight. I am watching Faustman's journey as well. My zytiga is losing its effectiveness and soon I will be making a decision about my treatment. But for now i am enjoying the rain in north Georgia.

As wings so eloquently put it Todd, Wikipedia nailed it. You are HOPE for so many. Thank you for taking the time and being willing to share yourself and your family and your journey so that all of the scared men and women can see the beacon lighting the path as they begin to embark on this journey (that was forced upon them) with hope in their heart.

Everyone here, including some that I don't always see eye to eye with, are like an extension of my family. I cheer for the victories. I grieve during the sad times. I really am thankful for all of you. Thank you all so much.
