Just diagnosed with PC..Gleason of 9,,,,possible bone mets yet to be confirmed.

Urologist has started me on Bicalutamide 50mg.

My next step is to find an oncologist...what's the best route to go here..?? An oncologist specializing in urology/prostate cancer? I'm thinking the bone mets needs to be addressed first and would a different oncologist be best for that?

You do not have bone cancer-- you have PC that may have spread to the bones. Hence, the best way would be to find an MO that specializes in PC.

Where are you located? Is traveling an issue?

Hi Tiger and welcome to the healing well forum.
It would be great to know a little more about you. If you let us know where you're located, there will likely be someone who can recommend a good medonc near you. Also, if you give some info like your age, dx date and why you think there are bone mets (you could create a signature if you like), that would be helpful to get recommendations from fellow G 9ers. If you do have mets and have systemic PCa, you will likely need hormone therapy, like lupron, in addition to the bicalutimide. They usually go hand in hand, from my limited knowledge.
