I hope he becomes a champion for early detection. He's been a champion for our state.

While it was never said, I presumed his initial treatment for his PCa was IMRT back when it was announced. This article references a 4-week treatment...while not the typical period for IMRT, I'm not sure what else this would have been. At any rate, I think it's safe to assume that he didn't have surgery due to his age--and if that's the case, it throws out the line about there not being a back-up treatment to initial radiation.

Let's hope he does well!
