I'm preparing for the meeting with the RO regarding adjuvant radiation. I'm trying to understand all that I can to ensure that my husband gets optimal care.

I found the hospital's clinical guidelines regarding aRT and it says:
Dose is 66 Gy in 33 fractions over 6.5 weeks.

Yet, I understand from a post TA made that >70 Gy is better. Also, some guys have 39 fractions.

Should I request and hope for a protocol that is different than what appears to be the standard?

FYI.

I had 39 treatments at 1.8 grays per treatment for 70.2 grays, at a large hospital with radiotherapy center a member of M.D. Anderson network.

I wonder if I might prevail upon you to post an accurate signature with your posts. Your last post asking about Provenge had the following signature:

Husband diagnosed Sept 2016
PSA 28, GS 4+5 (pos all cores) N0, M0, cystoscopy revealed visible cancer at bladder neck
Firmagon Oct 10
PSA Oct 20: 5.38
Nov 18: 1.69
Dec 12: 1.98
Dec 16: 2.05

It shows no mention of RP and no pathology results. It just shows that he received Firmagon when he was diagnosed. If you seem to be getting responses that are all over the map from me and others, it may be because none of us really understand his situation - at least I don't.
