JokerWild477,
Good news on your latest psa number you and I are almost following the same path yours was a little worse after surgery. How long do they want you on Lupron? I'm on for 2 yrs at least see what happens hey?

Just the 4 months I was on it.. He gave me 1 month before along with 30 days of bitcu and 3 months of Lipton while taking 35 treatments of radiation. Then no more. We discussed it and he said he found no need to continue it pass the 4 months..

What do you think T. A. do I need to wait on next psa test to claim victory for right now. or get an ultra sensitive test.. <.06 was as low as their test test down to.

I'm curious - this seems a little unusual for such a low volume of cancer @ pathology with a Gleason 6. Did anyone else take a second look at this and see if it was truly a GL6?

No. I was told on pathology it very seldom changes. My RO did a pet scan that showed a large piece of prostate left behind and think lhats how the microscopic was getting into blood stream. He radiated from base of penis to the prostate left behind and prostate bed and the semi vessels.. had many eyes looking at all results no just one but a team.. I will do an ultra sensitive Psa test on my own next month. Since I tested as low as their machine could.. .i believe and is praying it's all over except for annual psa test.. the only side effects is fatigue . Fully cont unless I sneeze. No erections problems I'm 90% there.. Prostate removed.. .4 months lupron. .30 days of bitcu pills.. and 35 RT AT 72......I BELIEVE I'm a true G6 just a lot of prostate left behind and Sv trying to save my goodies.. Just have to wait and see.

Also had a second opinion urologist right before my RO visit. I gave him permission to talk to my rp surgeon..he said sometimes surgeons snip and might leave tiny pieces behind. So if this is the case and the lupron and radiation kill all the bad stuff I'm happy.. Instead of surgeon ripping everything out and leaving me impotent and peeing on everything.. if everything works out for me. .maybe this can help someone else in my situation Take out least as possible .then radiate. .......who knows.. .just praying I stay undetectable FOREVER.

Jokerwild477-
As I understand it (please add a signature with your diagnosis and treatment history), your adjuvant ADT ended in February 2018, and you are asking whether your current uPSA of <0.06 is prognostic for a cure. That depends on whether your testosterone level has recovered to a normal level or not. If you are still at a castrate level, which is likely, the undetectable uPSA doesn't tell you very much. You should ask to have your testosterone level checked (in the morning) when you have your next uPSA in 3 months.

......THANKS T. A. if not for you and your knowledge of prostate cancer I would have been a complete dummy in making my decisions after my RP surgery. my great team of doctors and following you I know what services pills and quills are available for my decisions making process... It's been a long year and a half I'm going to give my brain a rest and say cured and enjoy this undetectable for the next three months.. I thought about
A\S BEFORE SURGERY glad I didn't.. T knowing it there is mind boggling. .see you in three months

Good on you, Joker. As TA says, the T level will tell you something — may it be a good something.

thanks,,had do my part so God could do his part,,could not have made any right choices without you guys, one thing i did find out is you have to be persistent with persistent PSA after RP,hit it with everything you have plus the kitchen sink...so long until my next test in 6 months...my journey started on the first page of this blog.
