And you might would feel differently Mel, had you knew what the best surgeon was...but opted for a lessor surgeon instead....in the interest of "it's easier to go with the lessor surgeon".

And in deference to the one's who have shared their thoughts about this topic.....in other words....to everyone......all of your points apply here equally as well.


Hindsight is 20/20. Not only in any given chosen treatment plan if it fails, where one might have gone another route. But....it also applies to looking back and, knowing what i know now....i might would have gone with my instincts.

I would have gone with what I FELT, what my instincts told me....gave me the best shot at cure. I cannot take that back. no use in trying....(as halbert, in his usual sage way....points out)


So maybe that's what all of you were referring to? Doesn't matter....The lesson is the same....even if the issue is confused.



And maybe I'm the one who has misunderstood...that that is what everyone here has been trying to convey.

Everyone here has been talking principle. I was under the impression there is no principle for this.

The details matter not. It's the principle that counts.
