My husband has one more Lupron in August to finish up his every 3-months, 2-year cycle, which was in conjunction with 8-1/2, 5x's per week radiation back in the beginning. Last month his B12 went to 2700. His one month retest is 4000. I read estrogen can cause high B12 levels...do you suppose this could be a result of his Lupron shots? If so, I'm glad there is only 1 shot left of the cycle.
[Also, last month he was diagnosed with bladder cancer and one tumor removed. Every 3-month scope until 2 negatives are achieved.]
THX in advance for any enlightenment.
I do not know, but as some folks take B12 supplements, this would certainly be something to be aware of! Another reason we should always ask our docs about
supplements, especially when we are taking all kinds of drugs that might react with supplements.
I'll be interested to see what folks think is the cause of this B12 spike. What do his docs say? They must feel it is related to his drugs, is that the reason they are testing his B12?
