Hi, on the 30th July it has been 10 years since my RP operation, has been an up and down travel, but I am still here and my latest PSA is 0.03 have been off HT since Nov 16 and monitoring my Psa until December this year and then maybe back on HT if there is a rise, so far, so good, I have been luckier than some guys, and will be 77 in October.

Congratulations on making it all the way to 76.75 especially after being T3a with LNI. It's good to hear a success story, though it surely has been a struggle. Here's hoping you can stay off HT and prove you've slain the beast. Come back in October so we can all wish you a happy birthday!

Congratulations, Maldugs. Ten years is great news.

I see my uro this afternoon at the 7-year point. I had blood drawn last week and will learn the PSA results later today. Hope my news is as good as yours. So far, so good, but every year brings a bit of worry.

Congrats from one Aussie to another.

Great result and still going strong. I am also looking forward to being 77 and when I am there you will be 82.

How are you tolerating the Zoladex? See many guys on here struggling with Lupron, but I am 4 months in to Zoladex and not really having too many problems, mainly just hot flushes which is manageable in a Canberra winter. Know a few other locals who also cope quite well. Seems like Zoladex is used more often in Oz while Lupron is primary weapon of choice in US.

Thanks guys, Hi Chas, the Casodex knocked me around a bit, but the Zoladex was tolerable, however put a bit of wieght on around the middle, and joint soreness which I still have, if I have to go back on it I will, don't like the alternative.

Mal,

I was on Zoladex for a year a couple of years ago and also put on weight. When I knew I had to go back on it this time, I was determined not to add weight again so have been watching my diet carefully, and so far so good. Haven't gained anything and in fact down about a kilo.

Only real restriction has been reducing portion size and resisting the temptation to clear my plate as soon as I feel satisfied. Now making the effort to ensure I always leave someone on the plate with every meal. Also keeping up with the exercise. Still have the occasional sweet treat, but really the only answer is cutting total calories.
