Does anyone know some reliable sources where I can research what the survival statistics are (hopefully 15 to 30 years out) for grade III prostate cancer pt3a, N0, M0 with the characteristics listed in my profile? I do have multiple margins and extraprostatic extension is present. I also am positive for lymph-vascular invasion. Lymph nodes are negative and seminal vesicle invasion is negative.
I will probably get the adjuvant radiation in a few months as my understanding is that it improves your chances by 50% of the cancer coming back.
I believe that I read the salvage radiation only works about
30% of the time or so. Can someone confirm this?
