Got the results of my PSA which is the first one since the conclusion of my SBRT with Dr. Debra Freeman at the Cyberknife Center of Tampa Bay. My PSA immediately before biopsy and diagnosis last January was 7.3. Today's result came back at 2.50 so I'm happy. I really was not expecting that large of a drop but one thing is for sure.......it didn't go up and that is really the only thing that would have gotten my attention in a big way. So down to 2.5 and hopefully on the way to nadir at some point in the future. I have in large part, and due to education gained from Healing Well, pretty much not thought about
this PSA until today and with the latest news I should be able to move on to the next one in three months without much concern. Not to be cocky of course, because I also learned from here about
the likelihood of "bounce" as I hopefully trend toward nadir and I would expect that eventuality to cause some concern. But hey, I'm 70 years young, healthy in all other ways, and very, very fortunate that this prostate cancer beast has been my first major health issue and fortunate that the treatments available for this disease are so good and getting better all the time. I have a lot of respect for all the folks on this board who are fighting this disease and commend you all for the fight that you wage every day. May we all have the benefit of some health improvement each and every day. Good luck to you all.

19T - Hearty congratulations to you! I'm glad you are not only having such good results, but also that you seem to be very happy with your choice of treatment. I am now almost a full year out from the end of my CyberKnife treatment and feel just the same way.
Let's see how low we can go!

Hey 19T47 Great to hear such good news. May you continue in the "downward spiral" You finished your treatment just two weeks before my DX so I continue watching and listening. Be well my friend.
May all beings be well.

That's great news! Congratulations on a good outcome, a good number, and smaller and smaller numbers in your future!

Thanks to all for the well wishes. It is very satisfying to get good news. I sure wish the best to you all and in particular to those with a less favorable diagnosis. Those guys are the real troopers in this journey.
