Sorry u need to be here! Since HT is in ur future there are ways to mitigate the side effects and one of them is strenuous exercise. Given ur profession you probably get more of that daily than most of us already so you’re ahead of the game.

Hi BigMak. I'm very late to this conversation, but just wanted to say hi, and send our warmest greetings from the 'far side' (Australia!).
As you can already see, you have come to the right place for advice, support and encouragement. And a whole lot of very useful information!
Please keep everyone posted regarding your treatment decisions, and as others have suggested, ask lots of questions, read the thread for the newly diagnosed, and if possible, take someone with you to your consults to take notes and record everything, so you can go through it again at a later stage if necessary.
