Thanks for the suggestions and well wishes SP, TA and Pratoman
The NP said my bladder was completely empty. They also did an ultra sound of my kidneys. Monday I get the results and a cystoscope will be done.
Good! How you feeling? Did they cath you? Or you peeing fairly well now?My appt. was only with a Nurse Practitioner. She put a machine on my bladder which showed there was no urine in my bladder even though it felt as if I needed to pee at the time
Today I've been peeing pretty well with no real false urges. I'm on meds for over-active bladder which I hope is helping.
Next week is the cystoscope. That'll tell the tell as to what's really going on and what's not.
I believe I get scared and anxious.....of retention....and I panic.
Anyway.....let's see what this cystoscope shows.
BTW.....if anyone reading this is scared of a cystoscope.....ask for propofol....and the right doctor will give it to you. That's what I'm going to have.. I've had 2 of these things already and the pain .... well.... hurt is an understatement. lol Some it doesn't hurt.....I'm not "some".
If the stricture has come back....that bridge will be crossed next week.
Thanks for asking sp. I live alone....so at night...my mind....closes in on itself.
And thanks to the forum as well. It's cool to have someone knowing what's going on.
David
(they also drew blood for another PSA. The good news about
pee problems once you've had a stricture....you don't worry about
PSA!)
