Pretty much same as you but I had surgery 6-14-17 and am almost to the end of my RT. I waste a lot of pads by changing but have been known to soak them also.

Bill, I have the same problem. I'm uncomfortable with anything wet touching my legs or nether regions... So at the slightest inkling, I change my pad (go through 2-4 during the day) and usually find I only have had a dribble or two.
Here is my theory...the pad causes a larger heat retention in the area than you are used to. When that happens, any change in temperature makes it feel "wet." Also, because of the extra insulation of the pad, you may be sweating more. Finally, I do notice that sometimes the feeling generated when the head rubs the pad also feels like dribbles....
I know that if I'm standing for a long period of time, sometimes I feel like I'm peeing and it's warm (pad insulation) so I run to the bathroom and nothing...or at least no leaks. If I ignore it, then the pad fills up and I leak all over everything...
Just some thoughts. I am at the same point post surgery. I fact, I have my second followup with the Uro this afternoon.
