I read this a few days ago in the New York Times
/www.nytimes.com/2018/01/16/health/fat-diet-prostate-cancer.html
Looks promising. I've reduced my consumption of dietary fat considerably over the past few years already. Looks like I should continue.

I have been on statins for many years and it didn't help. I would imagine many men here are in the same boat. Cancer feeds on monosaccharides (sugars) which are a carbohydrates, and can increase triglyceride levels. Triglyceride is another lipid (HDL, LDL, VLDL, etc.), which can increase the risk of cancer. Yet, very low levels of LDL cholesterol may be associated with an increased risk of, but increase your risk for coronary heart disease and stroke.
I would suspect that any blood sugars can fuel cancer, so unless you drop to extremely low blood sugar I doubt it will prevent cancer. Of course that would be very unhealthy.
