Zytiga and prednisone no benefit to age 70 + men

Those two drugs controlled my PC ( PSA undetectable) for two years. I'm 75. Did they make any difference in my mortality? Nobody can answer that question...

With these very expensive drugs, you can expect some push-back from the insurance companies to limit their use....

Chuck, don't know if you need a new MO or not but curious of how many treatments and the side effects of Chemo (Docetael)?

To me I dont see the numbers that they base that statement on about men over 70. Defintely less than the 1,00 or so for the whole study group. Irregardless, I choose to believe this treatment would indeed be beneficial, if I had to start on it 7 years from now , when I reach 70, instead of 3 years ago when I was 60. I would not draw conclusions from that one statement regarding the whole summary of the study. Besides ,Zytiga is a restively new treatment in the scheme of things. it is re-writing outcomes every day.
Chuck, I would keep your oncologist. I also would keep the faith!
