Just wanted to share my last uPSA results . I dont know if shall celebrate of worry - technically I am undetectable and even below 0.05.... but there is a trend.
There are some data showing that uPSA velocity ( doubling time < 10 month) or any uPSA value above 0.03 > post RALP could be an accurate predictor of BCR ( Ultra-sensitive PSA Following Prostatectomy Reliably Identifies Patients Requiring Post-Op Radiotherapy Jung Julie Kang, MD, PhD,1 Robert Reiter, MD,2 Michael Steinberg, MD,1 and Christopher R. King, PhD, MD)
Having said that, many labs have detection threshold 0.05 and above... So my reported could have looked simply like < 0.05 x 3
So when I spoke to my uro I was reassured that I am undetectable ... so i am scratching my head ... as basic math tells me 0.009--> 0.022-->0.033 does not look that good...
I guess answer will be retest and see...
Would appreciate your thoughts...hope experts, including TA will help me out ...
Thanks in advance!
RALP was 9/16 ,
3 month post op 0.02

9 month post op 0.01
1 yr post op 0.022 ( uPSA)
1 yr 4 moth post op 0.033 ( uPSA)
