Erectile function after SBRT

It will come as no surprise that age and baseline erectile function are the two biggest determinants of post-treatment erectile function. How one measures potency preservation seems to have a big impact, but SBRT has good results whichever way they cut it.

Well for one.............I am 3 months post SBRT (see signature) am not taking any ED drugs and erectile function is as good as it was pre TX. I am 70 yo so things aren't as good as they were 40 years ago but that said the radiation has made no difference with me except for a slightly reduced amount of semen. There is still semen at climax, erections mostly good enough for intercourse and libido is great. I did lose several, 50 cent piece size, patches of pubic hair................OH Well that just makes my "full male Brazilian" easier..........That was a joke Ha Ha.

I was only 52 at diagnosis and I wanted the best accepted chance for long term cure. I am undectable and can still get decent erections (with meds) 6 years after diagnosis, so I don't have major regrets. However, I believe that RP will go away as soon as SBRT is perfected. RP just comes at too high a cost for too many. I would love to have my old erectile function and unfortunately it is never coming back.
