Long term brachytherapy issues

I had brachytherapy on 12/16--A few months later things were pretty much back to normal.
A few months ago, or a year after the procedure, I experienced burning/stinging during urination, followed by my prostate "hurting" for a few minutes afterward. I don't have much control, and I'm getting up about 4-5 times a night to go to the bathroom. No bladder infection--CT normal-Cystoscope shows a bruised prostate, but it's not swollen, and a healthy bladder. I have blood in my urine that can be seen visually every 2 or 3 days, and my urinalysis last week showed a "high'" blood observation, with a protein count of 30.
PSA is .8-The urologist prescribed Proscar, even though my prostate is not swollen, because he said it might help--asked me to come back in 3 months--no treatment plan, because he can't really find anything wrong. From my perspective, something's definitely wrong-It's been 3.5 months now, and my symptoms are not getting any better.
Any suggestions/anybody out there who's experienced this?

Had Brachy 3 years ago, my urinary symptoms went away pretty fast, but the feeling of having a golfball in the behind lingered for about a year. Been three years now, and I still get that sensation for a few days every now and then.

Happened to me at about year 2, took Proscar and it resolved the issue in a few days.

Seeds placed 12/16.
Kidney/liver blood tests normal.
