Can anyone comment on what this means and its dangers - just got sent copy of MRI but have not spoken to oncologist - thanks
peripheral zone
there is a 1.1cm focal lesion in the peripheral zone, located in left, base to mid gland, posteromedial region. The lesion is mildly/moderately hypointense on ADC and on high b value DWI, DYNAMIC contrast enhancement is negative and is circumscribed, homogenous moderate hypointense on T2WI. There is mild focal bulge but no evidence of extraprostatic extension. Lesion is pi-rads 3
transitional zone, focal lesion none
seminal vesicles - normal
lymph nodes normal
vessels normal.
Thank you. scheduled for surgery in June but still to meet with RO next week.
Gleason 6 - 10 of 12 positive.
