Off topic (RCC)

Good morning all, I know this is not Pc related but since this forum has such a wealth of knowledge from submarine races to goat roping I thought I would ask for help.
In Dec of 2017 It was discovered that I had a 1.8 x 1.8 CM solid mass on my right kidney. I went to my URO at UAB in Birmingham Al and was advised to watch for 6 mo. which I also thought was best. Well I had my 6 mo scan this last Tuesday and met with the URO yesterday and this little bugger has grown to 1.8 x 2.3 which is about double the typical growth rate. His opinion (as well as mine) is this needs to be dealt with sooner rather than later (I also agree with this). He offered two options partial robotic neph or Cyro ablation. Both have similar cure rates. I would greatly appreciate any info anyone can share to help me make an informed decision about this.

Thanks for the reply, there has been no definitive diagnosis at this time. As far as biopsy goes my URO said that when you do a biopsy typically they do some sort of ablation at the same time just to keep from having to go thru the whole procedure again. The stats say that there is a 80-85% chance it is cancerous and 15-20% that is is not. I knew it was a shot in the dark but thought someone just might have some knowledge about this subject. Since I have been a reluctant member here, I have been impressed with the broad base of knowledge of so many of the contributors. I have a meeting with the interventional Radiologist on the 25th to discuss the Cyro process.
