Struggling with a Final Decision

Interesting point...when I asked the Dr if he would do another PSA, he asked me to drink 5 glasses of water, then wait 30 minutes, before drawing blood. When I asked him why, he said “research. I think if a man is not properly hydrated, it can yield an increased PSA number.

I started drinking. But after 2 1/2 glasses of water, I decided, I wasn’t interested in manipulating PSA fir an experiment. So I stopped. I wanted apples to apples.

Thanks Andrew. I can’t say that the drop,in PSA didn’t give me some pause. But I’m still moving forward with my plan.

Thanks Michael, I ppreciate your thoughts, and yes, I’m at peace with this decision and much more relaxed. The amount of due diligence and ruminating that I did may seem nuts to some people, but I think it’s part of why I am so comfortable with the decision and will be no matter how it turns out.

And as I mentioned in another thread, this was much more difficult, for me at least, than the process of deciding on primary treatment.
