......His issue was the inconsistency in HW/PC moderation. As a frequent poster who invested considerable time & energy in helping others, all he asked for was predictable consistency......
That is quite accurate, even if several want to ignore facts. But also accurate is the fact that he is dispensing his opinions on another forum, and the train has left this station, so to speak.
Time passes, things change....If there was inconsistency, it was that he had not been previously called on his sometimes outrageous behavior. Apparently he was finally called on it(unfortunately, I missed all of that), and he was having none of it. As Prato said, "He left by choice because he didn't like being moderated like the rest of us stiffs. So it goes.".
That is it exactly. So he decided that the rest of you would no longer be given his advice. Unless of course you wish to read his stuff elsewhere, which you can easily do. But he is not- apparently- going to grace his brothers of many years at HWPC with his knowledge. If you must have his insight, you are going to have to read it elsewhere, per his decision.

What can we learn so others don't need to leave?
We can learn that none of us are above the law, and we must obey the rues, or we will be moderated. It has happened to me. I can not say I have always agreed with the moderation applied to me, but it has happened. That is just the way it is, and how it will likely remain. And I am OK with it.
