I had an epidural injection in my back last week to see if I could get some relief from back and leg pain, since then I have lost control of my bladder having to wear a diaper again. I just wondering if one of the wifes might have had one of these for childbirth and experienced any symptoms like this? Kinda frustrating!! Especially when the injection has not helped yet.

Wife here who had 2 children with epidurals. I never had this problem and have never talked to anyone who has. (Women talk about childbirth like men talk about war stories.) You really should discuss this with your doctor. Doesn't seem right to me.

Yes, it is something to discuss with your doctor, as that is not common at all. Sometimes a bit of numbing medication is mixed with the steroid being injected. Some providers do this, some don't. If yours did AND it significantly numbed certain nerves, I can see this having a temporary effect on the urinary sphincter. If that is the case, it should wear off in a day or two at the most, more like in 4 to 6 hours. If it is not steadily improving, contact your doctor.
